In May 2006, the international trade fair “INTERPHEX JAPAN 2006” was held in Tokyo, featuring presentations of the latest developments from the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical technology. Capsulution introduced the results of its latest developments to an international audience at a joint stand with EBARA Corp.
Three days long, once every hour, Capsulution presented its developments to a broad audience of pharmaceutical specialists. Parallel to these presentations, the staff met personally with potential industry customers. A total of six representatives from EBARA and Capsulution were involved in the presentation and consultations with customers.
The greatest audience magnet turned out to be the system for the production of drug-filled nanocapsules and nanocomplexes developed jointly by Capsulution and EBARA.
In 2005 Capsulution signed a licensing contract with EBARA entailing supplementary one-off payments as well as variable licensing fees for Capsulution. On the basis of this contract all customers can rest assured that their tailor-made products will be produced efficiently. This contributes to the technology’s significant market penetration. Just six months after the contract with EBARA was closed, the first prototype of the system was launched. Since this time both companies have expanded their partnership continuously.
