Personalised medicine is both the key and the goal for the coming years. Customising medical applications will make therapy more useful and effective for all patients, facilitating both new ways of identifying illness as well as monitoring therapy in progress.

Together with our partners and based on our „intelligent“ nanocapsules, we are developing innovative diagnostic systems whose high sensitivity and precision promise to improve early disease diagnosis.

Example: Together with Schering AG we are developing a new contrast agent and imaging process for magnetic resonance tomography. The goal of this application is early diagnosis and treatment of two of the most common cancer forms, breast and prostate tumors. More sensitive imaging technologies and targeted contrast agents are needed in order to identify these cancers significantly earlier and allow for individualised therapy. This work is facilitated by the Capsulution nanocapsules.
