Nanotechnology meets Medical Engineering

A careful combination of proprietary nanotechnology with proven tools from medical engineering allows us to create a new generation of medical devices.

These devices include functionalised implants that release active ingredients over a long time period. We are also giving medical membranes new surface functionality and are currently developing a promising new line of diagnostic implants.

Example: We are developing products in partnership with the Swiss company Eyesense AG that can painlessly and reliably measure blood glucose levels. This greatly simplifies frequent measurement, which will help diabetes patients keep their glucose levels at desired levels and minimise negative consequences such as heart disease or blindness.
